I've had this transmitter for 9 months and until two weeks ago it was perfect with no sign of fading and it was my last insurance covered transmitter. And then we went to San Francisco for a week and I used two more sensors thinking my expired sensors were the problem. I kept getting weak signals and restarts. When we got home I changed the sensor and still had problems. I tested the transmitter and it tested fine. I decided to take an old transmitter that has been sitting in a charger for nine months and I hooked it up to what appeared to be a problem sensor and it's working just find. How weird is that? I wonder if I could jump start the newest one by leaving it on a charger for a few months.

I've had my first xmitter on the charger ever since it died about 18 months ago. A few weeks ago, I tried to use it, but it's still dead. I'm thinking maybe I'll put a battery in the charger, and see if it actually will hold a charge.

Thanks for the note - doncha just love experimenting with this gear?

I still have two others sitting in chargers and they both flash when I take them out. I think one is five years old. In fact, I still have my lollipop transmitter. We're going to Boston this weekend so I think I'll put in an unexpired sensor tomorrow night but I'm going to use the older transmitter.

As you already know, flashing does not mean that the transmitter is OK. Even testing it and getting a good ISIG during the test does not necessarily mean it's going to work.

I also still have my lollipop transmitter, although I have no idea why I kept it.

Yeah, I do know. So far this old one is working just fine. I will try the other one again. I'm going away and I did find a box of unexpired sensors so I will insert one tonight. And if my pump sirens while I am on the bimah at a bar mitzvah "chanting" Saturday it will probably sound better than my chanting.

In addition to the lollipop I have four Minilinks. I really think the newest one is dead.
