The annual ADA Expo in Denver will be Feb. 9, 2013 at the Colorado Convention Center (hall D) from 9:00 -4:30. This particular event is near and dear to my heart, because it's the first time I saw a pump and CGM in 2007.

Here is a link to the Expo, if anybody in the area is interested.

I've never gone to one of those. I see that one is coming to NYC is March, so maybe I'll check it out. I really would like to see other pumps and gadgets in person.

I'm thinking about it. I haven't been to one since 1995. It was in Atlanta and the CompuServe Diabetes Forum had a booth there. I worked the booth and the "highlight" was the MiniMed party at a place called The Mansion. I got to meet all the MM bigwigs. I'm sure the booths are different today. There were only two pumps: MM and Disetronic. I got a meter from Bayer with a great case.

My Pump: MM Revel with CGMS

I have been to a couple in NJ, but none in the past 10 years. They are a lot of fun - lots of vendors and freebies. They usually also have some speakers giving presentations.

I went tothe Expo yesterday, and was a little disappointed. I spent a lot of time at the MM booth.

I kept hammering them asking when the Veo and Enlite sensors would be released. They told me they are waiting on FDA approval, and that if anyone said anything about release dates, and it got back to the FDA – who is monitoring social media – that it would delay the FDA approval. Interesting.

I met mynew MM rep – nice young man – I'm going to be emailing him tomorrow to see ifhe can get me hooked up with a Carelink pro. I'll see how that goes.

I stopped off at the T-Slim booth, and they aid they expect approval of the integration with the Dexom this year. Yeah, well…..

I didn't get much of a chance to talk to the Ping people. I got there late, and they were packing up.

Dexcom didn't have a booth – bummed me out – I was looking forward to seeing the guy that works for them that worked for MM 6 years ago who had the brand new CGM that put me on the path to get my pump.
