My Pump: not wearing one now

I just got approval from my Blue Cross of Idaho insurance for the Dexcom Glucose monitor and am very happy. I had been trying since Sept. 1 to get approved for a medtronic pump and their Glucose monitor but they draged it out until the middle of November and I did not feel confident to go South for the winter just starting the pump. I talked to a diabetic counseler after making this decision and she suggested I try to get the Dexcom approved and that would be easy to start on my own in Texas. She told me their monitor works for 6 or 7 days and can be extended and it was much easier to calabrate. It took Dexcom 1 week to get all the paperwork and get it approved.
