Well I'm a little late lol, but...
On February 13, 2020 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! I saved her from being a Hallmark card birthday baby by a whopping 51 minutes lol!

I was induced at 38 weeks and after almost 24 hours of labour, Hannah Grace was born by c-section, and i wore my pump and CGM throughout the entire ordeal - after facing down 3 perinatologists and an endo. Because, you know, us little people don't have PhD's and therefore the ability to manage our own disease. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) My Fiance checked my blood sugar every half hour and it was between 4.5 - 6.0 mmol the whole time! Not a single high nor low blood sugar! I'm so glad I fought for it! Unfortunately, because I'd had my water broken, I developed a high fever and after 3.5 hours of pushing with no progress, my OB called it and I was wheeled into the OR. And my perfect little skinny minny was born, 8lbs 10 oz and 21 inches long (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Being a Mommy is awesome. Even when I'm rocking a half-asleep baby to bed, and my blood sugar bottoms out (I learned quickly to keep glucose tablets by the rocking chair lol). I kept my blood sugars very tightly controlled during my pregnancy, with my A1c's 5.3 and the lowest, and 5.7 at the highest, and she's in perfect health and I have no resultant issues to speak of. Even my eyes are perfect (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

There's much, much more to the story (like an Endo who told me during my pregnancy that my blood sugar control was TOO tight, can you believe that?!) but I'll leave all that for another day! Meanwhile, Hannah's now 7 months old. She's a little chatty Cathy and so far looks to be tall like her Daddy (he's 6'3"); she's in the 90th percentile for height and the 50th for weight lol. Tall and skinny (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Congratulations - albeit a bit late - on the birth of your little lady. She is definitely the cutest baby. She looks like a happy baby too.
