It's that time of year again.

The flu season will be quickly upon us, as much of a hassle as shoveling snow (ick) and driving in blizzards. So it's time for the yearly flu shot!

I'll be getting mine on November 23.

I will be getting my flu shot (coincidentally on the same day you are getting yours (assuming that my doctor has the shots in by then)).

I got mine a couple weeks ago.

I'm getting it this weekend!

They are no available in Nova Scotia, there was a supply demand.....that is what I was told a few weeks ago. I was advised to expect them available within the next few weeks to the general public.

I do work in the health care system - and there are usually "flu shot" days at work, and there has not been one organzied yet - so I do not think the flu shots are in circulation here yet!!

I got mine the first week they were offered. I did not wait for the doctor, I went to Winn Dixie and paid $23.

What about pneumonia shots? I have never had one.

I got a pneumonia shot a few years ago. Unlike the flu shot, you only need to get this once (unless something has changed in the recommendations since I got it).

I go to the Hospital in Denver everyweek and they always ask me if I have gotten. tomorrow I will tell them yes I got it at the clinc on the 15th. Oh and I told the clinc I got it at the Hospital.

I got my flu shot a few weeks ago, along with two meningoccal, one pneumonicoccal, and a few others that I can't remember...though someone said something about malaria. Like I ever travel!

I got my flu shot today at one of the clinics the city puts on rather than waiting for my doctor's appointment.

There are a couple of things I like better about the clinics. First, there are many people receiving flu shots rather than sitting alone in the room with the doctor (maybe its that misery loves company attitude). Also, the clinics enforce that wait 15 minutes before leaving rule while my doctor doesn't do that.

I got mine back in October and then I went to the doctor yesterday. I have bronchitis and I usually don't get bronchitis if I get my flu shot.

I did not get a flu shot this year. Been busy, and I've only had ONE flu shot ever that did not make my arm hurt, really bad! I've been told to ask for it in the hip, but I did that once and was refused. oh well! I heard too about the nasal thing, but have heard that may actually CAUSE the flu (not sure if this is true or not)

Has anybody had the nasal "shot"?

I'm faithfull getting my flu shots, me and my mother. I got mine late this year, but I did get it!!! It was November sometime, they had a nurse come into our work, and we paid $7.00 for them. Usually when I get them at the Dr's, I don't pay for them.
