Lately I have been asked to sign in quite frequently, but today I was already logged in and I answered a post and suddenly a sign-in screen appeared. I lost my entire post.

That happens to me too. What I do then is copy what I have typed, paste it into word, spell check it again, sign back on, and paste it. Then post it. I lost one reply, and learned that trick.

This morning at work, I was "signed on" when I went to the URL. But, at home I have to sign on each time I go to this site.

This was the first time it kicked me off after I'd written my message. I have a notes program that I use for copying stuff but this took me by surprise. It seems that I'm being asked to sign in more frequently than usual.

I'm usually asked to sign in every few days but I don't really keep track. I check at work when I have time and it happens with the same frequency whether I'm at home or at work.

Signing in wasn't the problem. I clicked on my toolbar, accessed the site, replied to a message, hit reply and then I was kicked off and asked to sign in. I thought it said my reply was saved but I couldn't find it.

I was just trying to reply to a message and it kept saying "the following errors were found" but didn't tell me what the error was. I don't think I've ever been asked to sign in once I'm already on the site.

So far it has been a one-time thing for me but someone else mentioned that it happened to him.

Do you still have this problem?
I don't like that the forum can only log me in for a week. I've been to other forums where I can login "forever" and it's very comfortable. I'm not afraid of anyone abusing my account here anyway...

The other problem I have is that if I go to one subforum or thread here and get asked to log in, I'm always thrown back to the main forum site. Which is annoying. I didn't believe any forums would have those problems any more. Usually in other forums, if you get thrown out and need to login again, it would even remember what you had written in your message.
Since this is not a very old version of IP Board, I suspect the problem is in the settings (not the personal settings but the administrator settings).

I am constantly asked to login while I am in the forum. If I do "View New Posts," and there are several there, I might read/respond to 2 or 3 of them, and then suddenly I must sign in again. I think I've signed in twice in this session already. It's quite irritating.
