I know that cortisone injections can raise blood sugars but I had a shot over a week ago and my blood sugars are still running high. I have adjusted my basal rates and take extra boluses to cover the highs but don't know how long the elevation of BG should hang around. Any ideas?

You need to have in mind that although they call them cortisone injections a lot of times they don't contain exactly cortisone but another glucocotricoid. Some of them might last for up to 3-4 weeks. However, you should make sure there isn't anything else that might be causing high BG. Call your doctor and ask them.

My last shot kept me over 200 for 10 full days, despite taking 3x my normal amount of insulin. I thought it would never return to normal. I was up to 150+ TDD.

I had a couple this winter. Lasted about a week, but I was still funky because of all the issues with my back...
