I went out for dinner tonight and had to guess at the amount of carbs as there was nothing on the restaurant's website and the chef couldn't help me. I did my best and guessed 35. My BG was 160 pre-meal so I allowed the correction BW calculated. At my 2 hour post-meal test my BG was 161. Obviously my carb count was off. So these are my questions:
1) When I plugged in my post BG of 161 my pump showed I still had IOB of approx. 2+ something units. I didn't give myself a correction because I was afraid that I would end up low after the IOB worked it's way through my system. Was that the right choice or should I have done a correction?
2) Is there a way to calculate just how much off I was by my carb counting based on my post meal BG and knowing that my I:C is 1:7?
