If there are any other NYS workers out there considering the pump and/or CGMS, go for it. Our insurance pays for everything - the pump, the supplies, the CGMS, the batteries for the pump, etc. 100 percent coverage with no out of pocket expenses!!

Wow, that's awesome! Congrats! My insurance also paid for the Paradigm 100% even though I already had an in warranty pump, so I got really lucky too. I find out this week if the CGMS is covered. I hope so!

Do you mean New York State? What insurance is it that is provided for you? My (new) husband works for NY City and so far we haven't switched insurance for either of us to be on the same plan -- I have Aetna and they have usually been good for me, I have tolerated the 90% coverage of durable medical supplies. They did reject my request for coverage for CGMS -- but I have submitted an appeal and am waiting to hear what they have to say. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they cover it, but I am impatient.

The NY City insurance has been good for my husband, but not being diabetic he doesn't have most of the costs to worry about that I do, so we just haven't really contemplated switching yet.

That is so great! Where do you work???? I have never heard of a company paying 100% of anything! Keep that job!
